Day 5.
It's been a good day today. Typical Faroese weather; sun, rain, fog, calm and windy, changing frequently.
They've already seen most of the islands, the most northern part that's inhabitatet, Viðareiði which is on Viðoy, the Gásadal and airport in Vágar, Eiði and Gjövg on Eysturoy as well as crossing the only bridge over the Atlantic Ocean, just to name a few things.
All of this translates into 300km/186mi of riding today.
They're back in Vestmanna and will be spending another night.

August 10th 2007 - Keflavik - Reykjavik - MotorMax |

Tuesday, 14 August 2007 |
The travelers arrived at 06.55am in Keflavik and were joined with their families, friends and the media. Hrafnhildur Halldórsdóttir from Radio 2 in Iceland interviewed the two brothers, Dossi (their dad) as well as their wives.
This wasn't quite the end of the journey as they still had to go from the airport to Reykjavik and MotorMax where they took off from some 3 months ago. About 30 motorcyclist joined them on the last leg of the trip and it was fun to see the row of motorcycles snake along the road.
When they arrived the celebration began as the owners of MotorMax as well as a large group of people had gathered there to welcome them home. A large cake had been baked and a map of the world, marked with their approximate route, put on it.
Around the world, Nothern hemisphere, has now ended. It took them a total of 95 days from start to finish. Congratulations!

|
|
Thursday, 09 August 2007 |
Þá er það síðasti dagurinn í New York.
