Erum komin til Prudhoe Bay. Vegurinn búin að vera blautur og mikil drulla enda verið að vinna í honum á mörgum stöðum. Mikið af flutningabílum sem er bæði gott og slæmt, þeir taka ekkert tillit til okkar - enda er þetta þeirra vegur - en á sama tíma er þetta 'líflínan' því ef eitthvað kemur uppá geta þeir kallað eftir hjálp í gegnum talstöð. Á morgun förum við á ströndina, en það má ekki fara þangað nema með leiðsögn vegna olíunnar sem dælt er úr sjónum.

We're in Prudhoe Bay. The road's been wet and there's a lot of mud as they're working on it in a number of places. There's a lot of trucks driving by which is both good and bad, they're not considerate at all - this is THEIR road after all - but at the same time they're a sort of 'lifeline' as they can radio for help should anything happen. Tomorrow we're heading for the beach, we're only allowed to go with a guide due to all the oil that's being pumped out of the sea.
