July 15th 2007 - Annual Blaine Icelandic picnic |
Sunday, 15 July 2007 | |
They've had a very good day in Bellingham where between 70 and 80 Icelandic people came together and had a picnic. Hafdís Þóra Árnadóttir and her husband Jim invited them home after the picnic where they had delicious food, oysters and grilled salmon. It was a very good evening they shared with the couple. Hafdís and Jim had pitched a tent in the garden. Einar and Sverrir looked at it reminiscing about they days they'd spent in their small tent. In the end they decided to spend the night out there. They're now in Tacoma where they've bought new clothes to ride in, pants and a jacket. The big question still remains, how will they fit the riding gear in the small bags they've got on the bikes. Today they'll continue further south and we'll get a new point for Google Earth tomorrow. |
